2018-2019 Community Outreach Editor

Columbia Journal

Managed Columbia Journal's Incarcerated Writers Initiative. Solicited writing submissions from writers who are incarcerated in prisons throughout the country to be considered for publication in Columbia Journal. Managed, organized, and reads submissions (this year we received over 430 submissions). Responded to correspondence from writers who are incarcerated. Supervised Columbia Journal's Community Outreach Board. Published two submissions from writers who are incarcerated in the Columbia Journal Spring Issue 57.

In 2016, the Columbia University Trustees and the Columbia Alumni Association (CAA) established The Campbell Award, which is presented to a graduating student at each School who shows exceptional leadership and Columbia spirit as exemplified by the late Bill Campbell '62CC, '64TC, Chair Emeritus, University Trustee and CAA co-founder


2020 Development Consultant

PEN America

During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in NYC, worked with the Development Team, assisting in the logistical planning of PEN America’s Authors’ Evenings, which are traditionally in-person dinner parties with celebrated high profile writers hosted in private homes around New York City. Also assisted in the logistical planning of PEN America’s annual New York Literary Gala.


2019-2020 Community Outreach Liaison

Columbia University’s School of the Arts

Reporting to the Writing Program's Faculty Director of Community Outreach, the CA/T (Columbia Artist/Teachers) Community Outreach Liaison fosters bi-directional community engagement through events and programs on and off campus. The Outreach Liaison plans panel discussions, readings, talks, town halls, and workshops aimed at connecting community members with School of the Arts students, faculty, and alumni. Venues include Lenfest Center of the Arts, Columbia University School of the Arts, and community locations (such as the Langston Hughes House). The Outreach Liaison is an adviser to the Writing Program's Incarcerated Writers Initiative (IWI) and Our Word, and monitors (and updates) webpages for CA/T, Our Word, the IAP (Incarcerated Artists Project) and Columbia Journal.
